Marine Staff Sgt. Stephen J. Wilson

Died June 20, 2007 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom He was assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 13, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.; died June 20 while conducting combat operations in Saqlawiyah.



After 5 long years Stephen has been laid to rest. My aunt had been keeping his ashes on a shrine in her home. After some long talks with the rest of the family she finally decided to lay him to rest in his final resting place.



I know it was hard on her and it was like reliving it all over again. But his brothers felt it was time.



I miss him all the time, we were very close. He shares a birthday with my son Alex. ALex has always been so proud of that. There is not a day that goes by that Stephen isn't though of.



His final resting place is Willamette National Cemetery in Portland Oregan.



RIP Stephen we will never forget you.
